| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Frederick IV occupying the central field, portrayed with a voluminous flowing wig rendered in the late Baroque manner. The king is shown bare-necked with an elaborate lace cravat visible at the truncation. The engraver's signature A. MEIBUS F. appears in small letters along the lower rim below the bust truncation. A circumferential Latin legend encircles the effigy, separated from the toothed border by a narrow inner rim. |
