Reverse description The elaborately quartered electoral arms of Saxony displayed within a baroque cartouche, featuring the distinctive barry-bendy field of the Wettin dynasty combined with the Rautenkranz (rue crown) diagonal band, the electoral sword, and additional dynastic quarterings. A crossed pair of swords appears at the center escutcheon. The crowned achievement is flanked by ornate acanthus scrollwork, with the mint master's initials I·K placed at either side below the shield. The encircling Latin legend declares the elector's dignity as Archchamberlain and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire, with the date 1696 appearing at the top of the legend.
