| Reverse description | A crowned terrestrial globe occupies the lower centre of the field, symbolising imperial dominion over the world. Flanking the globe are two armoured hands emerging from clouds: the left hand grasps a sceptre and the right a drawn sword, emblems of sovereign authority. Above, radiating rays of divine light emanate from the all-seeing Eye of Providence set within clouds, bestowing celestial sanction upon the coronation. The encircling legend CONSILIO ET INDVSTRIA — the motto of the city of Frankfurt — appears in the outer border, divided by the two arms. The composition is enclosed within a reeded border consistent with the obverse. |
