Obverse description Laureate, armored and draped bust of Emperor Charles VI facing right, with the collar and pendant badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine baroque detailing on the armor. The circumferential Latin legend begins at approximately 8 o'clock and reads CAROL VI D G R I S A G HI H B REX, identifying the emperor by his titles as Holy Roman Emperor, King of Germany, Hungary, and Bohemia.
