Additional information

Bermuda has no geographic or historical connection to Columbus — he never landed there, and the island's settlement stems from the 1609 wreck of the Sea Venture, bound for Virginia. This coin belongs to a broader wave of Columbus-themed silver issues produced across Caribbean and Atlantic jurisdictions in the 2000s, largely mint-driven rather than issuer-driven, with Pobjoy Mint handling much of Bermuda's commemorative output during this period.
