Additional information

Niue has issued licensed pop-culture silver rounds under its coinage authority since the early 2000s, a arrangement that generates revenue for the island territory while giving private mints a legitimate legal-tender framework for collectibles that would otherwise be medallions. The actual striking is contracted out — the New Zealand Mint handles most of Niue's licensed issues of this type.

The Goblet of Fire installment continues a Harry Potter series begun under Elizabeth II, making Charles III's effigy its first appearance on the obverse of this particular franchise run. At 62.2 g, it's a two-troy-ounce format favored for display pieces over circulation.
