Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of King Louis-Philippe I facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curling hair adorned with a laurel wreath. The engraver's signature DOMARD·F· appears in small capitals along the lower truncation of the bust. The peripheral legend reads LOUIS PHILIPPE I ROI DES FRANÇAIS, disposed around the full circumference. The coin is bordered by a continuous beaded inner rim, characteristic of the refined milled coinage of the July Monarchy period.

Reverse description Central field displays the denomination 3 CENT. in two lines within an open wreath of laurel branches tied at the base, with a small Gallic rooster standing below the denomination at the center of the wreath. The peripheral legend DIEU PROTÉGE LA FRANCE. arcs around the upper portion of the coin, separated from the wreath by a beaded inner border.
