Reverse description Plain cast reverse with a central square perforation surrounded by a flat, largely uninscribed field. A single Chinese character in regular script (kaishu), 浙 (Zhe), appears in raised relief above the square hole, identifying the Zhejiang provincial mint. The inner and outer rims are raised and well-defined, while the field bears traces of green and brown patination typical of cast bronze cash of this period.
