| Reverse description | Central device consisting of a large ornate cross composed of four symmetrically arranged cornucopiae or floral trumpet motifs, each terminating in stylized floral and foliate elements, evoking themes of abundance and prosperity. At the centre of the cross, enclosed within a lobed cartouche, appears the Roman numeral III denoting the denomination. The denomination ARGENTEUS is inscribed in large letters along the lower margin, with the fineness mark 1000 appearing in small numerals immediately above it. The surrounding legend PRO PROSPERITATE MUNDI arcs across the upper field, separated by small rosette stops at either side. The deeply polished proof fields contrast sharply with the intricately detailed raised design. |
