| Obverse description | Panoramic cityscape of Munich (Monachium) rendered in fine relief, depicting the twin onion-domed towers of the Frauenkirche prominently in the centre, flanked to the left by the tower of St. Peter's Church (Alter Peter) and to the right by the neo-Gothic spire of the New Town Hall on Marienplatz, with additional ecclesiastical and civic structures filling the lower field.
