Obverse description Left-facing bust of Saint Adelaide (Sancta Adelheid), depicted as a crowned empress, with long flowing hair rendered in fine parallel lines. She wears an elaborate medieval crown adorned with fleur-de-lis finials and pearl ornaments, conveying imperial dignity. The portrait is executed in a stylized, medieval-inspired relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. The circular legend reads SANCTA ADELHEID to the left and IMPERATRIX to the right, with the fineness mark 999 below. The engraver's monogram appears at the base of the bust.
