Tanzania's Year of the Tiger issues are produced under license for the Asian collector market — the Bank of Tanzania has no domestic cultural connection to the Chinese zodiac calendar. The 2022 tiger falls in a series that began gaining traction among bullion-adjacent collectors after similar small-format silver zodiac issues from African sovereign mints proved surprisingly liquid on secondary markets.
