| Obverse description | The Somali national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing horizontal lines in the upper half and a five-pointed star in the lower half, surmounted by a mural crown. Two leopards serve as supporters flanking the shield on either side, and a crossed spear and palm branch appear below, tied with a ribbon.
