| Obverse description | The Somali national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield bearing horizontal lines and a five-pointed star, supported on either side by two leopards rampant. Below the shield, two crossed palm fronds are tied with a ribbon. The circular legend 'REPUBLIC OF SOMALIA' arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination '250 SHILLINGS' is inscribed along the lower arc. The design is executed in proof finish with a mirrored field and frosted relief, framed by a fine beaded border. |
