| Obverse description | Central field features a traditional Nepalese tantric yantra design composed of interlocking geometric panels arranged in a cruciform pattern, adorned with symbolic motifs including a crescent moon, sun star, lotus bud, and ritual objects at the cardinal and diagonal points. The royal name of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev is inscribed in Devanagari script across the central panels, reading श्री श्री श्री ५ वीरेन्द्र वीर विक्रम शाह देव. The Vikram Samvat regnal year २०४६ (2046 VS) appears at the base of the yantra. A beaded border encircles the entire design. |

Below the mountain device, the denomination रू २५० (Rupees 250) and the issuer name नेपाल (Nepal) are prominently displayed, with the anniversary inscription जयन्ती २०२५–२०४६ (Jayanti 2025–2046 VS) curving along the lower periphery.
