Comments

The 1922 RSFSR note issues belong to one of the most chaotic monetary periods in Russian history — hyperinflation was already severe enough that the Soviet government would replace the entire currency system the following year with the chervonets-backed ruble. This 250-rouble denomination, substantial on paper, was nearly worthless in purchasing power by the time most notes reached circulation.

Pick 134 is part of a series printed domestically under severely constrained conditions. Paper quality varies considerably across surviving examples — an acknowledged characteristic of the series, not a grading artifact.
