| Reverse description | Central design depicts a high-relief effigy of the seated Buddha Shakyamuni in dhyana mudra (meditation pose), positioned upon a lotus throne set against a rendered stone wall evoking the interior of the Seokguram Grotto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Korea. The figure is shown in a serene frontal aspect with draped robes and elongated earlobes in classical Buddhist iconographic tradition. The inscription SEOKGURAM GROTTO KOREA appears to the left of the central motif in the field. The legend 1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER arcs along the upper border, and WORLD BUDDHA HERITAGE-2010 curves along the lower periphery. Decorative beaded borders frame the design on both sides. |
