| Obverse description | Central field displays the elaborate tughra (imperial monogram) of Sultan Mehmed V, rendered in fine detail against a plain gold field. The tughra is flanked by a small regnal year numeral to the right. The entire central device is enclosed within a broad decorative border of continuous foliate and floral scroll work in the Ottoman style, giving the coin a distinctive ornate appearance characteristic of late Ottoman gold coinage. |
