Reverse description A multi-line Arabic inscription is centrally arranged within a wreath of laurel or olive branches, tied at the base with a bow. The legend reads, from top to bottom: the phrase meaning 'May he be victorious,' followed by the mint name Constantinople (Kostantiniyye), and concluding with the AH date 1293 in Arabic numerals at the foot of the inscription. A single star appears at the apex above the wreath. The entire design is contained within a dentillated outer border.
