| Reverse description | The crowned monogram of King Baudouin is prominently displayed at the center, superimposed above a stylized silhouette of a crowd of figures. To the left, stylized architectural forms represent buildings, while to the right, a stylized forest motif appears alongside the designer's initials J.P.M. A Latin inscription arcs above, flanked by the foundation anniversary years 1976 and 1996. The denomination, privy mark, mint mark, and quality designation are arranged along the lower portion of the field. |

Issued to mark the Baudouin Foundation's twenty-fifth anniversary, this coin commemorates the philanthropic organization established in 1976 — two years after King Baudouin I himself proposed its creation as a vehicle for citizen-driven social projects across Belgium. The Foundation was funded in part by public donations made in lieu of official gifts during the king's silver jubilee, a gesture characteristic of Baudouin's deliberately modest public posture.
Baudouin had died in July 1993, making this 1996 issue a posthumous tribute struck under his successor Albert II.
