Reverse description The reverse presents a finely detailed high-relief bust of a ram facing right, its large spiralling horns rendered with meticulous sculptural precision against a deeply mirrored proof field. To the upper left, a spray of red-coloured maple leaves fans across the field in vivid applied colour, evoking the Canadian national symbol. In the lower left of the field, the Chinese character for sheep (羊) appears in gilt, honouring the Lunar Year of the Sheep. The engraver's initials CRR appear discreetly in the right field. The composition masterfully combines proof finishing, selective colouring, and gold gilding to create a striking polychrome effect.
