Reverse description The reverse presents a finely engraved cartographic composition evoking an antique globe with meridian and latitude grid lines forming the background field. At centre, two elaborately detailed heraldic coats of arms are displayed side by side: at left, the Royal Arms of France as used under the Ancien Régime, and at right, the Royal Arms of Great Britain as used in the mid-eighteenth century, symbolising the two principal combatants of the Seven Years War. A decorative ribbon banner above the arms bears the English inscription THE SEVEN YEARS WAR, while a second banner below carries the French equivalent LA GUERRE DE SEPT ANS. The legend CANADA arcs prominently along the upper rim, and a beaded inner border frames the entire composition.
