| Obverse description | The obverse features three overlapping renditions of the draped bust of Liberty in left-facing profile, evoking the design of the historic 1794 United States Flowing Hair dollar — the first dollar coin struck by the U.S. Mint. The busts are arranged in diminishing scale from foreground to background, each accompanied by a ring of six-pointed stars and the legend LIBERTY arching above.
