Additional information

Issued to commemorate the birth of Princess Lalla Khadija, Mohammed VI's first child, born in 2007. The coin was struck in five-nines fine silver — a purity specification far beyond the .999 standard typically used for bullion, suggesting a deliberate prestige distinction for this particular royal commemorative series. Bank Al-Maghrib has produced birth commemoratives for the royal family intermittently since the mid-twentieth century, but the .99999 specification appears uniquely applied here.
