Obverse description The field features an intricate composite scene depicting architectural monuments and religious figures associated with the three named West Flemish municipalities: a Gothic arch with a Madonna figure at left (Poperinge), a church facade in the center (Moorslede), and an arched niche with a standing saint at right (Gistel). In the lower field, a spread-winged eagle device is depicted alongside a reclining figure and a cherub. The legend POPERINGE . MOORSLEDE around the upper rim and GISTEL inverted along the lower rim run within a beaded border, with the engraver's name MEERSMAN visible in the field.
