Obverse description Facing bust of Naser al-Din Shah, turned slightly to the left, rendered in high relief within a double linear circular border; the outer border composed of a continuous dentilated band. The effigy presents the Shah in royal regalia, with a formal portrait style characteristic of late Qajar court medallic art. An elaborate Persian nastaliq legend encircles the portrait within the inner border.
