Reverse description A left-facing draped bust of Queen Victoria in the so-called Gothic portrait, wearing an ornate Gothic crown with elaborate foliate and jeweled detailing, as originally engraved by William Wyon for the British Gothic florin of 1847. The queen's hair is dressed in flowing curls beneath the crown, and her robe features a richly decorated collar with quatrefoil and lozenge ornaments. The circular legend, rendered in Gothic lettering, reads VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITANNIAR. REG: F: D., separated by small ornamental stops, within a beaded border.
