The inner design is enclosed within a lobed, flower-petal shaped inner border, with cherry blossom (sakura) sprigs adorning the interstices. The legend 大日本 (Great Japan) arcs across the upper field, while the denomination '25 SEN' appears in Latin characters to the left and lower field, and the reign date 大正九年 (Year 9 of Taishō) is inscribed to the right. A fine beaded outer border frames the design. |
