| Obverse description | The obverse features a central circular cartouche containing a naturalistic depiction of a tropical rainforest canopy rising from a landscape, rendered within a concentric ring design. This issue belongs to the Malaysian Wildlife series circulated under the twelfth Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Syed Sirajuddin, who ascended to the throne in December 2001. Malaysia's 25 sen coins had been brass-clad steel for years prior, making this solid brass composition a minor but trackable distinction for type collectors working this series.
