Obverse description At center, the fire-breathing panther from the arms of Styria is depicted within a three-quarter arc of shields representing the other Austrian federal states, with a larger Austrian eagle shield positioned to the lower left. The denomination '25 SCHILLING' appears to the right of the central device. The circular legend 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' frames the composition along the upper periphery. The heraldic elements are rendered in high relief with fine engraved detail typical of mid-twentieth century Austrian commemorative coinage.
