| Obverse description | Uncrowned draped bust of Emperor Haile Selassie I facing left, rendered in moderate relief with fine portrait detail including beard and lapelled collar. The effigy occupies the central field of the scalloped flan, with the date inscribed in Ge'ez numerals along the lower exergual area. No peripheral legend surrounds the portrait; the scalloped edge forms the natural border of the design. |
