Obverse description At center, the Russian State Emblem — a double-headed eagle displayed, crowned with two imperial crowns surmounted by a third, bearing a shield on its breast depicting St. George slaying the dragon; the eagle holds an orb in its right talon and a scepter in its left. The curved legend РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ (Russian Federation) arcs along the upper rim, with two rhombus-shaped mint marks flanking the eagle at mid-field. To the lower left appears the fineness designation Ag 925, and to the lower right the weight indicator 155,5, with the Moscow Mint monogram (ММД) below it. Along the lower field, the inscriptions БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia), 25 РУБЛЕЙ (25 Roubles), and 2018 г. are arranged in three lines on a mirror-polished proof field.

Reverse description A detailed portrait of the celebrated Soviet poet, actor, and bard Vladimir Vysotsky occupies the right foreground, depicted in three-quarter view holding a seven-string Russian guitar, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. Behind him, a dramatic background scene in lower relief shows galloping horses, an allusion to his iconic songs and theatrical imagery. To the left stands a stylized decorative microphone stand, further evoking his legendary stage performances. The Cyrillic legend ВЛАДИМИР ВЫСОЦКИЙ (Vladimir Vysotsky) arcs along the upper rim, while the dates 1938 and 1980 — marking his birth and death years — appear in two lines to the right of the portrait.
