| Obverse description | At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia with wings lowered, set within a beaded circle. The denomination legend «ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ» (TWENTY FIVE ROUBLES) arcs along the upper rim, while the date «2001» appears along the lower rim. To the left of the central device, the alloy designation and fineness mark «Ag 900» are inscribed in the field; to the right, the fine metal content «155,5» and the Moscow Mint monogram «ММД» appear.
