Obverse description At centre, the official emblem of the Bank of Russia — a double-headed eagle with wings lowered — is depicted within a beaded circle. The circular legend along the upper rim reads «ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ» (TWENTY FIVE ROUBLES), while the lower arc of the rim carries the semicircular inscription «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA) beneath the eagle. In the lower field, flanking the date «2011 г.», are the alloy designation and fineness «Ag 925» to the left and the fine metal content with the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram «155,5 СПМД» to the right.
