| Obverse description | At the centre of the obverse, the two-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia, as designed by Ivan Bilibin, is rendered in fine detail within a beaded inner circle. A semicircular legend «БАНК РОССИИ» curves below the eagle within the inner circle. Along the upper rim appears the denomination legend «ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ», while the date «1999» is inscribed along the lower rim. To the left of the eagle, the metal purity designation «Ag 900» is struck in the field, and to the right, the fine metal content «155,5» and the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram «СПМД» appear. |
