| Obverse description | At the centre, the two-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia with wings lowered, enclosed within a beaded circle. The upper legend reads «ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ» (Twenty Five Roubles) and the lower legend bears the year of issue «2004». To the left of the central device, the metallic composition designation and fineness («Ag 900») are inscribed; to the right, the fine metal content («155,5») and the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram («СПМД») appear. The overall design reflects the standard Bank of Russia commemorative obverse format engraved by Alexander Vasilyevich Baklanov. |
