Comments

The Brunei Currency Board maintained a currency interchangeability agreement with Singapore from 1967, meaning Brunei dollars were — and remain — accepted at par in Singapore and vice versa. This arrangement gave Brunei notes a dual practical life rarely seen in small-nation issues, with genuine cross-border circulation rather than purely domestic use.

The 25 Ringgit denomination is an odd one by regional standards, introduced to mark the Sultan's Silver Jubilee. Commemorative purpose aside, it entered general circulation rather than being purely a collector release, which complicates condition grading for this pick — used examples exist alongside uncirculated ones sold directly to collectors at issue.
