| Reverse description | Central device depicts the national emblem of Afghanistan: a domed mosque with minaret flanked by two Afghan flags, all set within a wreath of wheat sheaves tied at the base. The Solar Hijri date ١٣٣١ (1331) appears below the mosque, and the inscription افغانستان (Afghanistan) is inscribed on a ribbon at the base of the wreath. A decorative beaded or serrated inner border encircles the entire design. The composition reflects the standard Afghan state iconography employed during the Zahir Shah era. |
