Reverse description The reverse, designed by Glyn Davies, presents a bold and detailed rendering of St Edward's Crown — the centrepiece of the Crown Jewels — occupying the lower and central portion of the field. Behind and above the crown, the architectural outline of the Tower of London is depicted in fine incuse line work against a frosted background, evoking the historic fortress that houses the regalia. The legend TOWER OF LONDON curves along the right side and base of the design, with the engraver's initials GD appearing at lower left. The Royal Mint mark is also present in the lower left field.
