Obverse description The 16th-century coat of arms of the Republic of Geneva displayed centrally, featuring a quartered shield with a demi-eagle and a key, flanked by ornate cartouche scrollwork and topped by a radiant sunburst bearing the IHS christogram in a central medallion.
