Obverse description Central shield of the Philippine coat of arms depicting a sun with eight rays in chief and a lion passant in base, flanked by three five-pointed stars above the shield. A scroll at the base of the shield bears the legend REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS. The arc legend ANG BAGONG LIPUNAN curves along the upper periphery, while the denomination 25 PISO appears in the lower field. A beaded border surrounds the entire design. The Franklin Mint mintmark FM appears in the field.
