| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into two main zones by a vertical rule: at left, a large ornate numeral "25" above the word "Pfennig" accompanies a circular seal of the Magistrat der Stadt Greußen bearing the city arms with a lion; at right, the text "Gut für Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig" is set in bold letterpress within a ruled frame, below which the place and date "Greußen, den 1.
