| Reverse description | The reverse presents a richly detailed bust of a female allegorical figure — likely Germania — facing right in three-quarter profile, wearing a crown surmounted by a cross and adorned with long flowing hair. She is draped in scale armor (lorica squamata) with an ornate beaded collar, rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail. Flanking the bust on either side are tall oak sprigs with naturalistic foliage extending to the beaded border. The mint mark 'A' appears twice in the lower field, to the left and right of the bust's base. No peripheral legend is present; the design fills the field in a broad, medallic artistic style. |
