Obverse description The obverse is printed in a multicolour offset scheme with a dark blue upper banner bearing the denomination legend in white Fraktur script. The central vignette presents the municipal coat of arms of Brunsbüttelkoog within an elaborate gilt cartouche of Baroque acanthus scrollwork: the upper field shows a harbour scene in blue and green with a sailing vessel, while the lower field carries the Holstein mounted knight in gold on a red ground. Oval underprint panels in green bearing the numeral '25' in blue flank the shield on left and right, with redemption text in Gothic script occupying the lateral green fields and the serial number and expiry date legend printed in black along the lower margin.

Reverse description The reverse carries a large central vignette rendered in fine monochrome line engraving style, depicting the entrance to the Nordostsee-Kanal (Kiel Canal) at Brunsbüttelkoog, with a stone pier jetty, a tall lighthouse tower to the right, and breaking waves in the foreground beneath a clouded sky. A decorative gilt and yellow border with an ornamental bead-and-scroll pattern frames the entire note, and a scroll cartouche at the top bears the word 'GUTSCHEIN' in bold capitals. The issuer's name and town are printed in Gothic and bold Roman type along the lower margin.
