Obverse description Horizontal format notgeld note printed in dark brown on cream paper. At left, a rectangular vignette encloses the heraldic arms of Lingen — a crowned shield bearing three towers flanked by two rampant lions — set against a fine guilloche underprint. To the right, the denomination '25 Pfg.' appears twice flanking the issuer inscription 'Stadt Lingen' in bold letterpress, with the value in words 'Gutschein über fünfundzwanzig Pfennig' beneath. Two facsimile manuscript signatures appear at lower centre and lower right, attributed to the Magistrat and the Bürgervorsteher Kollegium respectively.
