Obverse description Central vignette presents a colour lithograph of the Kirchhain parish church with its distinctive tall red spire and broad red-roofed nave set among foliage, rendered in a detailed artistic style. The denomination numeral '25' appears in large black and yellow figures within ornate teal cartouches at upper left and right, with the issuer's name 'Stadt Kirchhain N.-L.' in bold Gothic blackletter across the top. The lower panel, set on a scrollwork guilloche underprint, carries the issuing authority, date, and two manuscript signatures, while the town's heraldic shield — a stylised church — appears at lower right.

Reverse description The central oval vignette, framed by a decorative scalloped border in red and black, depicts a rural scene of agricultural labourers engaged in fieldwork with hand tools, set against a backdrop of farm buildings and trees rendered in multicolour letterpress. Above the oval vignette, the provincial coat of arms of Niederlausitz — two rampant lions flanking a crowned column — is displayed on a shield. The denomination numeral '25' is repeated in all four corners in red and black against a cream ground covered with an intricate repeating scroll underprint, and a serial number appears in the lower centre beneath the legend 'NR.'.
