Obverse description The obverse is printed in red and black on cream-toned paper and carries a four-line historical verse in Gothic lettering along the upper border, referencing the Battle of Mühlberg (1547). The central field presents two circular coin-like vignettes flanking a central heraldic shield bearing a red rampant lion on a black field: the left medallion reads 'ZUR ERINNERUNG AN DIE SCHLACHT BEI MÜHLBERG E. ANNO 1547' and shows two robed figures in conversation, while the right medallion references the capture of figures at Mühlberg and shows a mounted scene inscribed 'MISERE RE ME DOMINE NOS V MVS JAM HI' and 'VOR MÜHLBERG GEFANGEN WORDEN 1547'. Decorative red laurel branches frame the side borders, and the lower portion bears the denomination title in large Fraktur script 'Fünfundzwanzig-Pfennig-Schein der Stadt Mühlberg a.E.' with the date 'Mühlberg a.E. den 1. Juli 1921', a validity notice, and the manuscript signature of Der Magistrat.
