| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in brown and salmon-orange tones on cream paper, with an ornate Art Nouveau-style border of stylised foliage, palmettes, and interlaced decorative panels framing the central design. A large circular vignette in orange at centre bears the bold white numeral '25', flanked by vertical columns of plant motifs. Below the vignette, a horizontal band carries the Gothic-script inscription 'ALTE HANSESTADT LEMGO' in large capital letters, with a red serial number and series letter printed in the upper left margin. The lower portion bears the issue text, date, and multiple manuscript signatures of municipal officials over their printed titles. |
