Obverse description Green-tinted notgeld note with a decorative border of small diamond motifs. The heading reads 'Stadt Hörter' in bold black Gothic script across the top, flanking a central colour vignette of the city's heraldic shield bearing a Gothic church façade. Denomination panels reading '25 Pfennig' appear symmetrically at left and right in blue on yellow grounds. Below, a text block in German script gives the redemption clause and the issue date 'Hörter, d. 1. Mai 1921', with a serial number and manuscript signature of the Magistrat at the foot.

Reverse description Richly illustrated reverse in a historicist lithographic style, with a panoramic riverside view of Höxter in the background beneath a large orange disc bearing the numeral '25'. The central vignette depicts a group of women in medieval dress engaged in a brawl with poles — a reference to the 'Maggte Schlachte von Horckser' (the Maids' Battle of Höxter, 1554) — with two heraldic shields (Braunschweig eagle and the lion of Margrave) flanking the scene. A lengthy period text in Early New High German script below narrates the historical episode, and the designer's name 'Friedrich Koch' appears at the lower left.
Reverse lettering Die Maggte schlachte von Horckser.
