Obverse description The central vignette presents the municipal coat of arms of Leck, a quartered shield in blue and red with heraldic charges including a crown, an eagle, and a cross, supported by a lion rampant and surmounted by a white eagle displayed, all rendered in a bold folk-art style with blue and orange colouring. Arching across the centre in ornate blue Gothic script is the legend 'Notgeld der Gemeinde Leck', flanked at upper left and right by the denomination '25 Pfg.' in decorative cartouches. Below, an invalidation clause and the facsimile signature of the Gemeindevorsteher (municipal mayor) appear in black letterpress.

Reverse description The reverse carries a colourful vignette showing two figures in a confrontational pose against a panoramic background of the town of Leck with a church steeple visible amid trees; the left figure, dressed in blue, raises a tricolour flag (black, white, and red — the Imperial German colours), while the right figure in red reacts with raised fists, alluding to the 1920 Schleswig plebiscite and the retention of the town within Germany. The denomination numeral '25' appears in large bold figures at the upper left and upper right corners. A Low German verse is inscribed in black script across the lower centre of the vignette.
